Bank Holiday Sunday , 4th June 2017 will see Carne Holiday Centre come alive with only the second ever Carnesore Fest, the first of which was held back in 1978 to protest the proposed building of a nuclear plant. With several musicians lined up such as Divine Intervention, Borderline, Point Blank, Donna Marie Sludds, Lee & Fitz, Kinda Hush , Gary Lambert & Jaxson, Carnesore Fest 2017 promises to be highly entertaining for all, with its eclectic array of music.

This is a day for all who love live bands as well as a day for the whole family to get out and enjoy together. There will be a children’s play area, bouncy castles, face painting along with other children’s games and activities to keep them entertained. There will also be food stalls on site for the day as well as a full bar.

Carnesore Fest is a fundraising event on behalf of Second Wexford Scout Group & Summerhill Guides. Money raised will have varied uses such as upkeep of their clubhouses, supplies and equipment as well as some of the funds going towards an activity on a future trip to Switzerland.

Groups like Scouts & Guides play an important role in our local community as well as nationally, providing support and encouragement to young people in their physical mental and spiritual development. It’s great when possible to be able support these types of fundraisers, so make sure and  get a ticket!!

Gates open at 12 midday with kick off at 1pm until 7pm. Entry fee is €20 and tickets are available from Byrne’s Shop in Bishopswater and Distillery Barbers, Wexford . For more information you can contact Carnesore Fest directly on Facebook , just click here!
